And that's exactly what has happened, although we are also in discussion
with the local met service with regards to more accurate and timely
local information.

Thanks to Alan, Graham, Tony, and all those who replied (yes Tony, local
would be good!).  

Pardon the delayed response but I'm only now getting back into this
project. One thing from the yahoo service I do notice is that the
date/time for weather readings is based on their server, which makes
things rather difficult for those of us living a day in the future! I've
had to take the current date/time and add 14 hours, which works, but
this seems like a kludge to me. So now I'm curious - has anyone else
ever encountered similar issues with data feeds?
