Do you think dreamweaver is inaccurate or your old editor is just badly outta date?
Right now I am only making sites in xhtml 1 strict and dreamweaver is extremely accurate. As a visual designer you wont like cfe, I would use cfe for the cf code and dw for the design, although myeclipse plugin has a design view for pcs with eclipse ~Dave - formerly known as "the disruptor"~ ---------------------------------------- From: "Rick Faircloth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, June 16, 2006 11:15 AM To: CF-Talk <[email protected]> Subject: SOT: Would Dreamweaver help the transition from CF 4.5 to CF 7? Hi, all. Ever since I started building websites (without any background), I've relied on an WYSIWYG tool for design and at first used CF components to build dynamic sites. After awhile, I realized some of the limitations of the components and have eventually gotten to the point where I prefer to write all my code by hand for better control and understanding of how things are working behind the scenes. I still want a quality WYSIWYG program to use for design, but I'm back where I started with CF some 6 or 7 years ago. I feel like with all the changes to CF from 4.5 to 7, I might be better off using some components to aid in the CF coding at first, then as I learn what they're doing, use more manual coding. Now to my question.would Dreamweaver (which I've tried several times, including the latest and just couldn't move from my long-time WYSIWYG tool.I found Dreamweaver to be inaccurate in many renderings between design interface and browser) help me to be productive faster with CF 7 while I'm learning it? I know there's a lot of talk about CFEclipse, but I don't think that's a good tool for me as a visual developer. Thoughts? Rick PS - I hate these "turning point" stages in business.guess that's why I've hung on to CF 4.5 so long.it's like my old comfortable recliner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:244203 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
