It all depends on your level. I sat through the two CFM training courses a year or so ago. It seemed like he was teaching helpful information for the rest of the group in the class although I do not see them to this day actually using any of that knowledge. Not sure if it is because they did not really understand the things they were taught or for some other reason. Everyone in the group had at least 2 years experience developing CFM apps using a old framework built during the 4.0 days of CF.
At the same time they took that class I read through the Flash course books and taught myself Flash. Those books I found helpful at the time since I had no real prior experience with Flash.
