I think this guy wanted to know if the user had things like MS Project or
Visio on their machines. The HTTP_ACCEPT variable only tells the server
about things that appropriate to browsers, things like Real, Quicktime,
Flash and what not. Yes or no?

There's something that does exactly what you want. It's called the Accept
header, and you can get to it with CGI.HTTP_ACCEPT. It's usually a
comma-delimited list of mime types. ;)
