You know, I STILL find it hard to believe someone hasn't created a website
"ripper". It should be pretty simple to do, I've done it on a custom basis,
always assuming someone had one out there.

A deal where you identify what goes where in the database and then let
'er rip? Back in the day I did that for yahoo, to get all my mail in a
centralized
place. Couple of other "web only" emailers too. Wasn't too bad, just have
to
look out for people changing the layout.

Should be pretty simple to transform HTML to XML, browse through the keys,
select this goes here, that goes there... blah blah blah.

No one has done a generic web content backup via web cfc?

Time and again, mustly on dev lists, I see this issue of "but can we get our
data" pop up. Hell, it's right there via the web, right? ;-)

Maybe it's somehow in a gray area of the law or some such? Eh... could be
used to burn folks, a lot like fire. But oooooh that cooked meat tastes
good.

-ps the project that was posted last time I asked was nifty, on a super
scale,
but I'm wondering about a CF solution...
