Actually Tortoise has released an eclipse plugin so you now have a choice,
Tortoise or Subclipse.

I'm new to each of these myself, but my understanding is that TortoiseSVN is
a Windows Explorer plugin.  Any functionality you're getting within other
applications is a (potentially) happy accident.
For Eclipse, the "proper" plugin is Subclipse.
