I second Casey. As the developer, you must anticipate every action of your
users- flashing red lights don't really prevent an accident waiting to
happen.

Anyway Les, try Rick Root's Imagecfc.  On your admin upload processing page,
resize and store the uploaded image into a thumbnail image and a regular
sized image. This way you can have more control on what sits on your server.
