< ;-P > So, if I get a speeding ticket for going 120 in a 65 zone, the car maker is dumb for not limiting the top speed of the car? Or am I dumb for not paying attention to the instructions (speed limit sign)? When I spent two hours going "Here's how to size and optimize your images in Photoshop before loading to your site" and the sizes are plainly labeled next to the file input fields - yea, they're dumb. But, you're right. If a client can do something stupid, then they're going to do it and you've got to do your best to compensate for every single stupid trick you can think of. I just didn't think of that one since I spent time showing them the proper use of the admin system! < /;-P > So, on one hand - they've asked me to fix all the images, which I can bill for. On the other hand, that's still a major annoyance so I've got to find a solution to the problem because they WILL do it again! > Who re-sizes images manually now days? Funny, I process every single shot I take before doing anything else with it. In fact, I open them in Photoshop directly from the camera before even saving them to my HD. Guess I'm old fashioned or something! Heh... > You can use CFX_OPENIMAGE to take care of these types of problems in the > future. Only works on windoz servers. Site is on Linux. I've looked into resizing solutions before, but haven't found anything that would work on Linux - especially since it's a shared server and I've no access to do things like set java.awt.headless to true, so I may not even be able to get Massimo's tmt_img to work. I may have to request hosting to move it to a windoz box... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:250809 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
