Dojo is being used here for the ease of browser compatibility, and that we can style the widgets or override them to do what we need.

THinking i was looking at a IE Only technology I left the Adobe site at that point and didn't bother again. I'm not interested in learning any technology that's only IE. But since it is no less cross-browser compatible than many of the other things I use (e.g. CSS2) then it's worth another look.
