I do it this way, easier to read ( I am assuming you're doing this to
"remember" form field values):

<cfparam name = "session.particulars.name" default = "#somevar#">

<cfinput type="Text" name="name" value="#session.particulars.name#">

Subject: Dynamic Form value

Hi all,

I have tried the following and it works.

<input type="Text" name="name"
    <cfif isdefined("session.particulars")>
     <cfoutput>value="#session.particulars.name#"</cfoutput>
    </cfif>
  >

but when I can it to cfinput, I got an error.

<cfinput type="Text" name="name"
    <cfif isdefined("session.particulars")>
     value="#session.particulars.name#"
    </cfif>

Is there a workaround?

David
