Should be as simple as installing the 1.5.0 JRE and pointing your jvm config's java.home value to the install directory (the parent directory of /bin, if memory serves). Be careful, though. I don't believe MX7 officially supports 1.5.0 so results, as they say, may be unpredictable. :-)
