Well, the question is more complicated than that. It really comes down to what your system does. If it's an online spreadsheet program, theres going to be a large amount of database interaction and you are not going to be able to store very much of it in the session.
Now, if it's some sort of logged in intranet/extranet where users come to get standardized information, that may be stored in the database, you can do all sort od preformance tuning using cached queries in shared scopes like Application or Server. It all depends on what level of data interaction your app will expose to the users. -- Alan Rother Macromedia Certified Advanced ColdFusion MX 7 Developer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:254103 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
