you don't need the virtual directory if you are using it locally.  At 
least I didn't.  Make a cfajax folder in your site root and extract 
everything there.  You need to look at the settings.js file and change 
the global variable for your functions.cfm.  Put all functions relating 
to this in a new file called functions.cfm or something.  You need to 
include the necessary files in all files that use cfajax.  There should 
be a readme that will help.
