Does anyone want me to slap him? I'm right next door, it's no problem :)

However, having said that... We really are interested if anyone has any
insight, our tech folks require hardware load balancing and we're trying
to support our user's request that we not require them to log in more
than once a day. Because the sticky session expires on the load
balancer after 60 minutes, the user is sometimes directed to a different
server where they must log in again. This is apparently a world ending
event that causes thousands of dollars in lost productivity... so, the
search for a solution that doesn't involve changing our current load
balancing methods is on... I love politics, it's a Dilbert world.
Anyone have an "outside the box" kind of solution for me?

Thanks!

Dang it-- I must have made my question too specific. Just call me Mr.
Cellophane.

Let's start basic. Does anybody on this list use a LOAD BALANCER?

If so, can anyone imagine why the sticky age if a Foundry ServerIron
load balancer can be NO LONGER than 60 minutes?? Has anyone considered
the possible scenario of needing my users stuck to the same
server/session for longer than an hour? I keep asking Google, and all
it does is blink at me.

Somebody has to have some insight/experience on load balancing with
sticky connections.

We are having problems with the sticky age timing out after only hour,
and kicking people over to another web server where there session does
not exist and they are forced to log in again.

Our server admin tells us it is impossible to have a sticky age of
longer than 60 minutes, but our CIO wants users to be logged in for 12
hours at a time.

Thoughts?
