Ok... I'm a civil list member and I rarely weigh in on this stuff... And I have no doubt you will fire back and humiliate me in some way (or try). But I have to say enough is enough. Come on guys. Let's tone down the rhetoric here. You can have an opinion about something without sinking into sophistry and flaming it (and by association those who appreciate it). My dad, the Pentecostal preacher, used to write in his sermon notes "point weak, pound pulpit here".
As far as you winning a contract, I'd say you are on the money... At least, given your general attitude and tone, I wouldn't hire you :) You should keep in mind that this list is a source of contracts... Not just a place to vent. And you should also keep in mind that there are folks on the list that love Fusebox and have made stellar apps with it - and continue to do so. Try refining your first sentence to something like "I have always found Fusebox to have too much overhead" or "...I think it's unwieldy". That might actually foster dialogue and you might learn something, and others might learn from you. As it is, you sound like Mel Gibson's drunker and lesser known younger brother. -Mark P.S. It's "over-bloated", not "over-blated" ... Unless you are speaking in old-scots or something. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Scott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 03, 2006 7:43 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: Re: Cf Development Companies Fusebox, what an over blated piece of shit.... No seriously why does a framework have anything to do with a quote being won, tell me I use my own framework till I got stuck into MG:U and it has worked and performed much faster and not as bloated as fusebox is. So, tell me again why being a fusebox developer would win me a contract? It shouold boil down to can I deliver on time, will I met the budget set forth, and will I be able to deliver the product the client needs:-) Shit, there are times when I know MG:U and MachII aren't upto the job. So what makes fusebox the be all and end all to determine a job:-) On 11/4/06, Greg Luce <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I was shopping the same thing last year and ended up with WebApper > Services (SeeFusion fellas).
