In a case where everything else is equal, it could be a deciding factor. Also realize that not all places test their interviewees. Not all places have what I would consider to be "qualified" folks doing the interviewing (it's frequently managers...the same managers who love to chant the mantra of "we don't have time to do it right, we need to get it done quickly" and then wonder why 2 weeks after its release it breaks horribly) :) As I've already said...it may -never- help you.
