Actually, it's a community open source project and everyone involved contributes their time, ideas and code (and in this case graphic design skills) for free. That's how open source projects work all around the world - people willing to offer their time and energy for the greater good. It's how all the frameworks for ColdFusion got built, it's how BlogCFC and all those other useful applications got built. There's no scam here - everyone knows exactly what they're getting into. No one is being "forced" to work for free...
