You must be talking about a Javascript solution. I'd be glad to see the code... not that I'll know what to do with it, but I'll be glad to take a look!

When a new record is added, I usually default the sort order to the number of records + 1 so it is at the end. Then in a list view of all the records there is an up and down arrow next to each entry that moves it either up or down by sort order. Say you click the third record to move it UP to the number 2 slot, you would just move 2 to 3 and 3 to 2 and vise versa to move it the other way. I can provide code if you want an example but it's the best way I've found to do this. It sure beats giving them a field to put a number in ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:269694 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
