Like Dave said. Also note that there are two ways to set up multiple instances:
1) If you install ColdFusion+JRun (install option 2) then you'll see an additional option in CF Admin that lets you create new instances right from within CF Admin itself without having to tinker with the JRun Management Console (JMC). You may still want to use the JMC for further configuration, but for basic instance creation and deploying CF, even adding instances to a cluster, the wizards in CF Admin can do it all. This was added to CFMX7. 2) You can also do it all manually using the CF installer and the JMC, you get more control this way, but it is a bit trickier to set up and requires a bit more knowledge about how it all works. If you have an existing JRun, or don't do the combined JRun+CF install, then you'll need to use this option (as the wizards in CF Admin will not be installed). --- Ben -----Original Message----- From: Dave Watts [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2007 3:26 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Managing multiple CF7 instances to one IIS site > That's good... one license per two CPUs... and one license for > unlimited instances on two CPUs? Yes, if you've purchased Enterprise. There is no limit in the license to the number of instances you can run under one license. There is, of course, a practical limit, which is primarily dependent on your hardware.
