Well, I am still open to suggestions. Like I said, our main goals are to more evenly distribute our traffic, be able to share sessions among the servers so a user can switch servers without losing their session, and be able to pull servers out of the cluster during the day seamlessly. The last two least are not possible with hardware only from my understanding.
