You could have just run "jrunsvc -install <servicename>".

Ahh-- I figured there was a better way to do that.  If it is that easy,
why didn't Adobe make the "create windows service" check box available
when you edit an instance in ColdFusion Administrator?  (For those of us
who are yet JRun whizzes yet)
