The easiest way to do this, as Russ suggested, is to simply delete and recreate the virtual directory. Otherwise, you could ensure that the directory is in fact a virtual directory, not a virtual application - when you view the properties dialog, it should either be part of the parent application (a virtual directory) or a separate application. Since your site is running with CF 7, you'd want your directory to be part of the parent application.
