Hello, We are a large e-commerce site that is experiencing a big problem.
We are running CF MX6.1 on Jrun4 with Updater 6. We run F5's BigIp up front of a 7 web server, 5 CFMX server hardware set up. We are experiencing sporadic truncated pages being downloaded to our clients. The pages start properly but break and some code is exposed. For instance, testing from home last night I saw some pages that showed half of the site description meta tag and then just quit. Pure white space. The results do vary and sometimes you see a couple of the graphics and some of the text. I have now seen enough of the broken pages to conclude that the spot where the break (download stop) occurs is random and not related to misplaced characters in the code. I'm surprised that I've been unable to find almost no other information on the internet about people having similar problems. I have recently found a Hot Fix (61210) on the Adobe site and I am applying it to our servers today in hope that it will be related to this problem. The issue is quite elusive as this problem NEVER occurs within our network and so we have to test it from home or a remote location. We have considered the following possibilities: 1. Unvalidated code - the fact that the code runs inside our enterprise without a problem makes it hard to believe that this is the case. I can also have entire sessions from home where I navigate the site and buy things and there are no problems. 2. code problem - we have a lot going on with URLRewrite and adding values to URL's and cookies to track where consumers came from. Maybe something here is causing it although, again, we NEVER have the problem within our network. 3. Jrun updater 6 - to our knowledge - which is incomplete - the problem started sometime after we updated our Jrun servers to Updater 6. The Hot Fix I mentioned above is related to updated Jrun servers. 4. CFLocation - relates to #3 in that the Hot Fix is specifically for a Cflocation problem with truncated pages after installing Updater 6. 5. Edge server problem - we use Akami to deliver our graphics for our website and we thought that the response time may be too slow from their servers and causing the page to time out for the consumers browser. They state that there is not a problem and our own network guys have concluded the same. 6. Network problem - some undiagnosed problem with either the BigIP or firewall appliances.
