It just shows a lack of technical and business saavy it no doubt reeks of
business idiots absorbed by aquusitions who think "windows" is actually the
Internet.

CFML (I note CFML as you have Bluedragon) is a more than cabable technology
when deployed correctly. To move from Java to .NET back to Java though is
just stupid.

Subject: Lack of CF understanding: Info Week

Not to add to the hornet's nest....well, okay maybe, but back to the
issues we deal with in perceptions with CF. This time not price, just a
pure lack of focus on what the CF platform can do from a review of a
site that moved from a mixed bag of CF and .Net to Java after
acquisitions:

"Triphomes originally was built using Cold Fusion, a web site
development tool that runs on (I am sure he meant to inject "only" here)
on Windows, and depends on Microsoft's Internet Information Server and
SQL Server Database. Just as with its other sites, HomeAway added more
and more changes to TripHome, the site became increasingly brittle and
prone to failure."

While the whole article isn't pasted, that is the general impression
left in the context of the Apr 23 2007 article in Information Week. I
cannot stand these ill-informed tech pundits. Can't wait to become a
CF pundit someday and make hay with all the failures of the other
platforms and how we personally are converting two national apps built
in .Net and Java respectively back to CF.

Ugh. Those of us manning the shops while the cool kids are at
CFObjective get to stew about such slights. LOL.
