Tests don't indicate ability. Some people can cram for an exam and have no real knowledge. I've certainly encountered certified CF developers who don't know what they're doing - even certified advanced CFers. I don't pay any attention to certification when I'm hiring. > Here is another idea that could be done, especially with this group.... > Peer exams. I'm with Dave Watts on the value of certification, I'm afraid, and that's a general lack of faith in any sort of tests (and why I don't set a technical test in an interview either - timed tests under scrutiny are no more a reflection of real-world ability than anonymous tests conducted in private). -- Sean A Corfield -- (904) 302-SEAN An Architect's View -- http://corfield.org/ "If you're not annoying somebody, you're not really alive." -- Margaret Atwood ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| ColdFusion 8 beta â Build next generation applications today.
