Couldn't you just directly interact with Axapta's SQL server by setting 
of a CF datasource? I think it's all dependent upon what you know and 
what will best serve your needs. CF will be excellent from a RAD 
standpoint, and give you a lot of capabilities you could expand upon 
(reporting, graphs, PDFs, etc). Key questions might be a) what do you 
want the 'shop-system' to do now? and b) what do you want it to do in 
the future?
