It seems to me that, for CF users, SQL7 is a much better buy.
In CF Administrator, you can limit the number of worker threads
(simultaneous connections) to 5, for example. This means at most 5 CF
users can use SQL7 at the same time. No Internet Connector License needed,
just 5 CALS.
Total cost for SQL7 plus 5 CALs is $1000 or so (less on eBay).
Not sure if this is available for SQL Server 2000 (although I see CALs are).
