Hmm.  We use almost exclusivley AMD at my office here, and we have had no
problems.  We do use exclusivley ABIT motherboards (also taiwanese), and
there are some installation issues having to do with the IDE Controller's
that they use (HighPoint Technologies).  If you don't install the proper
drivers when installing 2000 or NT you will usually get a BSOD when booting
up.

Otherwise, I would highly recommend going with Win 2000 Pro, it is a _much_
more stable OS than 98.  Most current manufacturers have been very good
about supplying 2000 drivers.

Generic Taiwanese is the only answer at this point,  the gentleman I got it
from is looking in to it however, we
have not come up with a solution yet, therefore I went with NT workstation 4
and will apply service pack 5 for now,
untill I can determine more on this whole mess.   Honestly my son wants dad
to go win 98SE but I have more trust in
NT workstation for what I am trying to obtain, which is a stable development
enviroment
