Actually, Rick brings up a fair question. The key to this is that for the signature to be as accurate as possible the person signing would need to be using a stylus, otherwise it would be quite different than their signature with a pen.
Also, the amount of samplings taken would have to be quite high to show an extremely close representation of what the signature was intended to look like.
