No, it would not be, unless you could provide strong supporting evidence
that the signature was actually done by the person in question at the time
in question. The signature has to be "witnessed".

When this question was originally posted, I suggested using a PDF to capture
the signature, because PDFs can capture digital signatures. A digital
signature isn't an actual signature with a stylus on a screen, but rather a
mathematically verifiable digital certificate that can be applied to a
document:

"Signature" fields in PDF accept digital signatures, not literal signatures.
You can, however, use a visual display of your signature as the "logo" for
your digital signature. I've done that for my own digital signature, which I
use with PDFs quite often.

Digital signatures have been accepted as legally binding.
