In my ColdFusion application, I need to be able to browse the client file system, choose a file, and extract the full path file name the user selected so I can store it in a database.
I have played around with <input type="file"> but I don't need to UPLOAD any files. I just want the full path. Later on, I will want to display the full path file. Is this possible? I have read that because of security, web applications can't access client files. Are there any solutions other than storing the files on the web server?
