I plan to use a local telecom hotel that is within easy driving distance. My company is a Microsoft partner so we're going to tackle the management and maintenance of the box. (Thank you for the suggestions none-the-less)
I was looking for information about the different ways I'm getting quotes. Some have structured their plans based upon data transfer and some just bill on a mbps basis (both using 95th percentile calculations). For example... Host #1: $75 per U with a 1Mbps pipe bursting to 100Mbps. Each additional 1Mbps is $75 (95th percentile). Host #2: $150 per U with 1MB pipe and 25GB of data transfer. Each additional GB of transfer over our block is $4 (95th percentile). The server will have relatively low utilization for the first 6 months or so. I'm not sure which billing method is going to work best for our needs. Host #1 gets our box up and functioning for a fraction of the cost. It seems too good to be true. I'm new to this arena and I've been tasked with doing all of the homework. A poor decision would come back solely on my shoulders. That's why I've come to you fine folks for guidance. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:304187 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
