The only thing I can find that works is:
<cfif thisNL.alignHEAD EQ "rgt"
or thisNL.recordcount NEQ 1>
checked="checked"
</cfif>
Which is a little uglier that setting thisNL.alignHEAD to "rgt" by
default if it isn't anything else.
