Is the verity engine enabled? By default it is not enabled in CF8 and you have to run a command line utility. I don't know if you are going to be able to use the verity collections from CF7 with CF8. I was unable to get CF8 to recognize CF6 verity collections. -Aaron
-----Original Message----- From: Frank [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, June 07, 2008 2:13 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Can't create Verity collections We've just moved to a new server with CF 8 (love the server monitoring). Since, however I can no longer create Verity collections, nor can I seem to map the ones I've physically placed from the last server (v. 7.01) Server is running on CentOS Linux, we've got tones of disk space. At first I got one error, based on the Verity Developer Kit .pdf <http://vlsearch.etax.com.my/verity_docs/pdf/ODKProgramming.pdf> thought it was permissions, chmod -R 777'd it. It will create the base folder for the collection, but nothing within it. All the googling in the world and the Adobe KB articles I've found haven't helped me move forward. Here's my current error. Can someone suggest a direction? ____ Start error Unable to create collection my_verity_index. An error occurred while performing an operation in the Search Engine library. Error opening a workspace.: com.verity.organize.WorkSpaceCreationException: K2ODK unable to create directory for new workspace, check permissions and available space [K2OdkErr_WSDataDirCreateFailed]. (-5143) ___ End error Thanks muchly.
