Hi I have just been asked to quote (roughly) on a job. The data I will need to access is on an in-house MySql database. I have to have the website on an external commercial server. Any clues on the best way to update the external database (which can be MSSQL or MySQL) efficiently. It needs to be updated probably every 2-6 hours and a lot of data is involved - music so jackets and audio tracks. Can DTS work from MySQL and can it be setup to work programmatically?
I'm reasonably experienced at building CF websites but have always had the data needed on the server - no experience at having the primary data removed like this. Can web-services be used efficiently. Hope some can help, please.
