There are some MS based apps (or there used to be, I have not kept up on that front) that don't play nice with other browsers. Personalty I have grown to hate IE (particularly IE6) for its inexplicable and frankly maddening renderings of CSS based designs. My personal fav is how IE can make entire pages simply disappear: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=css+page+disappears+IE&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS316US316&ie=UTF-8 According to most trackers, FF and Webkit (Safari and Chrome) have at least (by even the most conservative estimates) a 10% to 20% market share and with the stats at W3 Schools reporting a solid 50+ % market share for non MS bowsers. My gut feeling is that it is around 30+ %. The days of "we only design for IE" are decidedly over. Besides... "IE only" was born of Netscape and it's sucking more sh!te than RotoRoter in it's inexplicable inability to render even the simplest css files. I have been doing a LOT of cross browser design and I highly recommend LunaScape. It allows you to run all three browser engines (Trident, Gecko and Webkit) at the same time in the same browser. G!
