I turned off Syntax Checking: Preferences > ColdFusion > Editor Profiles > Editor > Syntax Checking
Turned off "Build Server Settings" Preferences > ColdFusion > Server Settings > Build Server Settings Turned off "Build CFC's in project on Startup" Preferences > ColdFusion > Startup > Build CFC's in project on Startup Not sure if all or any particular one was causing problems, but things seem to be better.
