I've got one more observation that hasn't been mentioned so far. ColdFusion Builder is very much linked to Adobe CFML Servers/Engine. To my mind the editor isn't for the CFML community but for a select part of the community. If it was a CFML editor it would be equally productive for Railo and BluedDragon users. What you're doing by spending your $300 is being cleverly tied into the Adobe brand (range of products). As a ColdFusion fan what I want is a tool that helps me develop CFML code and one that does not tie me to a platform (whether that be Adobe ColdFusion, Railo, or Bluedragon). As the product doesn't serve this purpose I'd argue it doesn't justify the price (or perhaps a price at all). In a lot of ways I think the move is a good one for Adobe (people feeling they need to buy it; getting more interest in Flex/Flash) but equally I think it is bad news for the CFML community as a whole. CFML has always lacked an excellent editor and this is definitely not addressed by ColdFusion Builder. It's an ok product but that's all.
