Demos speak volumes. I would install mura or farcryCMS, your preference (30 minutes), and spend less than an hour to add a basic layout with their logo. Then give a free demo/show and tell. If they don't get it or otherwise decide to go a different way, you are out about 2-2 1/2 hours of your own time, have a copy and first hand knowledge of a CMS for future clients to demo to, and will have demonstrated your dedication to your current client.
