We are just finishing up a medium sized site with Mura. This was my first big project with Mura (ok first ever project with Mura).
A few thoughts: 1) Its definitely a little more complex then I first thought and initially gathered from the demo. However, in its defense, other enterprise-scale CMS systems I have worked with have been WWAAAAYYYY more complex. 2) Documentation is lacking. However, this was filled in by excellent support from BlueRiver. Apparently documentation is forthcoming also. 3) Mura is very flexible. Our client had a tight schedule and changing requirements, and in some cases, major architecture changes. Mura was able to handle it without problems, and usually without any hassle whatsoever. 4) It's really, really simple to write plugins. I do a lot of model-glue development, and we needed an MG app to be "inserted" into the mura application. This was done with literally one line of code. Pretty nice. The only thing I would not recommend Mura for is really small CMSs, for that its overkill. But for medium-to-large projects, its a good choice and you should definitely consider it. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info, I cannot post the site (since its not quite live yet) but can share it with you privately. > I have a customer who may want to migrate to a CMS and I've told him > to consider FarCry or Mura although I have zero experience with either. > I can't find many resources around that give a solid comparative > review.
