I am also with Kickassvps and have never looked back. I pay $35/month for my own VPS box with unlimited websites. I run Railo and MySQL and people can not believe the speed of the sites. Have been with Crystaltech, HostMySite, Hostek and a few others. They were always slow, had down time and caused constant issues that needed attending to. But, since moving to KickassVps my sites have been running without problem or downtime for the last 6 months. I couldn't be happier. They have shared hosting plans too - but with the VPS price almost the same as shared hosting, it makes sense to go VPS. You can remote deskptop into your machine and do what ever you like.
