That surprises me. Virtual directories work fine in CF8 and I have been using them like that on my development desktop for several years without a problem. Can you please provide me more information about your statement?
Specifically: - what is the limitation? - is it an IIS issue or CF? - did it just happen on CF9? - is there any documentation that explains this limitation? If I can't use virtual directories, what is the approach that others use for testing on a desktop with multiple CF websites? Put all the data on the c: drive in wwwroot? (It seems more logical to me to use virtual directories and keep them with the rest of my files.)
