Dan, If the problem is client vars it is not enough to simply switch it to a DB. CF will still try to clean up the registry keys because, while client vars are no longer stored there "by default", that storage is still available to CF to use. I always manually delete that file or (more risky) remove the registry from the defaults - by editing the xml file.
Sorry for being pedantic - there's every chance this is not even your issue - I just want to be sure to cover all bases :) -Mark -----Original Message----- From: Dan Baughman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, September 16, 2010 9:44 AM To: cf-talk Subject: Re: Really odd problem - cpu utilization at idle Ok I switched it to use an empty database for the client vars. Also I do have the option of dropping back to developer mode. I googled and didn't see how to do drop back to developer mode, is this an XML file somewhere? Thanks for suggestions so far, all.
