Just wanted to mention it so others don't repeat it.
I have a webpage that lets you scroll through a few pages of listings 
with a previous 50 / next 50 button.  Someone complained that the 
page was being cached on their phone and they were seeing old data. I 
couldn't reproduce the problem, but to fix it, I added a random 
number to the URL query string to prevent caching.
      A spider came to the page and hit it 1.5 million times at a 
rate of 8 times a second. (Because of the random number, it thought 
there were a lot of pages!) It crashed Coldfusion a few times until I 
checked fusionreactor and saw what was happening.
