Michael, I will say it again it has nothing to do with being a noob or even an expert. It boils down to common sense, we have a guy at work who has never programmed in his life, and he has been in the role for about 6 months. But the moment he started, he showed a lot of common sense in his approach, and that is all it is and nothing more.
Btw if you read the guys comment, he also clearly stated he is no noob as well, or did you not read that?
