Well, that's a tough choice, I guess. But that's what people do. If you really can't afford it, no matter what, it doesn't matter how good it is, does it? In that case, this entire thread is a giant waste of time, because even if it writes code for you while cooking you dinner you won't get it. > And if your a developer the educational use is of no real benefit because if > I remember that was only for college students. And anyone can go to their local community college and register for a part-time course, and then you're a college student. I suggest philosophy or symbolic logic, if you choose this path. > I am surprised that nobody has really tried to say why cf builder is so good > likes it features. in other words, nobody has really > provided a good reason as to why should I invest in it. Nobody cares whether you invest in it, except for Adobe people I guess. Download it and try it out yourself, or not. That's why they have a trial. I like it because it does a lot of little things that, together, make it worthwhile. But I also got it free with Flash Builder, which I had to buy anyway. But this conversation seems to boil down to "I think it should be cheaper", and that's not really a productive topic. Because it's not going to get cheaper as a result, and it's either worth the money for you or it isn't. Either is fine with me.
