Well, it depends on what is meant by large amount and if you do need large amount of data. Of course, there are more powerfull databases systems. But for my kind of applications (CMS and members managing for associations), Access database perfectly do the job. I have associations with 10k members running fine. Of course, 10k records is not a big deal. I also have a more than 350k records database for coast of arms, and it still allows for %like% search in memo fields in a fraction of seconds. Not all databases provide like search in memo fields. Here again, 350k records may be not considered as large amount of data. For me the most important is that it works fine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:344998 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
