Sure. I'll try not to be too condescending.

There are some things that we can control or influence. There are
other things that are beyond our control or influence. This falls into
the latter category. Not to pick on Rick, who's a nice guy, but my
posting added more than his wish that things were otherwise.

If you're a competent web developer, you will write applications that
do exactly as Peter recommended - use feature detection rather than
browser detection, and degrade gracefully in the absence of a
particular feature.

Now, perhaps you can look at having that bug extracted from your ass.
