Sure. I'll try not to be too condescending. There are some things that we can control or influence. There are other things that are beyond our control or influence. If you're a competent web developer, you will write applications that do exactly as Peter recommended - use feature detection rather than browser detection, and degrade gracefully in the absence of a particular feature.
