That's pretty much exactly what I did. I'd used eWallet for many
years, and was very happy with it, but no Android support.

One specific thing about its security that I like a lot is that it
supports the use of a key file instead of (or better yet, in addition
to) a password. This is a nice, cheap, easy way to get simple
two-factor authentication.
