The ColdFusion server will first search for the custom tag in the current
directory, so if you call <cf_edit> and you have a file called edit.cfm in
that folder, the local file will be run. If CF does not find the file in the
local folder, it will search the folders specified in the registry setting
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Allaire > ColdFusion > CurrentVersion
> CustomTags > CFMLTagSearchPath. There is a comma-delimited list here of
the folders where CF will search for custom tags.
Once CF finds the file, it will cache the location until the next time the
server is restarted.
